RACE RECAP
Joey Logano arrived at North Wilkesboro believing the No. 22 could control the race, then turned that confidence into one of the most complete drives of his career. He led 323 of 450 laps, won Stage 2 and beat Denny Hamlin by 0.859 seconds in the first Cup points race at the track in 30 years.
Ty Gibbs won Stage 1 after passing Shane van Gisbergen on the final lap, but Logano took command as the race settled into longer green-flag runs. A Lap 183 incident involving Alex Bowman and Tyler Reddick disrupted a pit cycle and trapped several contenders, while the final stage ran caution-free for 175 laps.
Hamlin applied the only sustained late pressure. He stopped on Lap 359, Logano followed one lap later and the No. 22 returned to the track about half a second ahead. Logano managed traffic from there and never gave Hamlin a clean opportunity to attack.
