RACE RECAP

Layne Riggs turned NASCAR's first Truck Series trip to the San Diego Street Course into another Front Row Motorsports statement, winning the Navy 250 after a stop-start street race stretched three laps past its scheduled distance. Riggs started second, won Stage 1, led a race-high 21 of 53 laps and beat Daniel Hemric by 1.332 seconds after the final restart.

The race never settled into a clean rhythm for long. Seven cautions covered 13 laps, including a late red flag for Tyler Ankrum's incident in Turn 16 and another yellow when Nathan Nicholson stalled with two laps left in regulation. Kaden Honeycutt controlled pieces of the opening run from the pole, Parker Kligerman won Stage 2, and Chandler Smith looked positioned to fight for the win after leading eight straight laps late before the final cautions reshuffled the finish.

Riggs was the one who converted the chaos. Hemric charged from 32nd to second, Kaz Grala finished third from 16th, Landen Lewis came home fourth and Ty Majeski completed the top five. Brenden Queen made the biggest fantasy move of the day among the front finishers, climbing from 34th to seventh, while Christian Eckes turned a 30th-place start into ninth.
