Cup Series star Kyle Larson dominated the LiUNA at Las Vegas, leading 47 laps and scoring 69.7 fantasy points. Chase Briscoe charged from 23rd to P2, while Justin Allgaier swept both stages but settled for P4. Jesse Love led 36 laps but faded to P6.
When the Cup Stars Come to Play
Kyle Larson reminded the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series field that there's a difference between racing against your peers and racing against the best in the world. The Cup Series champion started 2nd at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and led 47 laps in the No. 88, using his intermediate-track mastery to control the final stage and drive away to a convincing victory.
Larson's 69.7 fantasy points reflected a dominant day — laps-led bonuses, a strong starting position, and the P1 finish combined for one of the highest scores of the season. When Cup-level talent drops into the Xfinity field, the talent gap is real and measurable.
Chase Briscoe's Charge from the Back
The second-most impressive drive at Las Vegas didn't come from the front of the field. Chase Briscoe, another Cup regular, started 23rd and carved his way through the entire field to finish P2. The No. 19 gained 21 positions — the largest differential of the afternoon — and nearly caught Larson in the closing laps.
Briscoe's march through the field was a masterclass in intermediate-track racecraft. While the Xfinity regulars battled for position in the top 10, Briscoe was picking off two and three cars at a time on every restart, using his Cup-series experience to find lanes that the younger drivers couldn't see.
Allgaier's Stage Sweep Goes Unrewarded
Justin Allgaier continued his incredible 2026 stage-racing form by sweeping both Stage 1 and Stage 2. The veteran led 48 laps — more than even race winner Larson — and scored 57.8 fantasy points with a massive chunk coming from stage bonuses. But when it mattered most, Larson's superior long-run speed at the 1.5-mile track was too much.
Allgaier finished P4 — a strong result by any standard, but the man who swept both stages and led 48 laps knows he was racing for the win until Larson pulled away in the final 30 laps.
Sheldon Creed (P3) added another podium to his consistent season, Sammy Smith (P5) continued his top-5 streak, and Jesse Love (P6) led 36 laps but once again couldn't convert track speed into a victory. Love has now led 287 combined laps through five races without a win — the most prolific non-winner in the series.
Connor Zilisch rounded out the notables, finishing P7 from a 17th-place start — another impressive drive from one of the sport's rising stars.

Stage Winners & Key Moments
Stage 1 went to Justin Allgaier, who used his typical patient approach to grab the lead in the closing laps of the stage. Larson (P2) was content to ride in the draft and save tires, while Jesse Love (P3) led laps early before fading to a stage-points position. Briscoe was already up to P14 from his 23rd-place start — ominous for the field.
Stage 2 was another Allgaier masterpiece. The No. 7 led 22 laps in the stage and won it again, making it back-to-back stage sweeps across Phoenix and Vegas. His 48 total laps led earned 4.8 bonus fantasy points on top of 20 stage-win points. Larson remained in the top 3, biding his time. Love led 18 laps in the stage but couldn't hold off Allgaier for the stage win.
The Final Stage was the Larson show. The Cup champion took the lead on a restart with 40 laps to go and pulled away by two seconds within 15 laps. His long-run speed at 1.5-mile tracks is a tier above the Xfinity field, and nobody could match his pace when the tires wore down. Briscoe climbed from 8th to 2nd in the final stage, while Allgaier faded from the lead to P4 as his tires fell off.

Fantasy Takeaways
- Cup stars change the math — Larson's 69.7 points show that when Cup regulars drop down, they're often the best play on the board. Their intermediate-track speed advantage is measurable and consistent.
- Briscoe from 23rd to P2 is the value play of the season — +21 positions at a 1.5-mile track is almost unheard of. When Cup stars qualify poorly, they're the ultimate differential play because the talent gap compensates for the starting position.
- Allgaier's stage dominance is bankable — four consecutive stage wins across two races. He's the safest stage-points play in the series and generates floor through bonuses even when he doesn't win.
- Jesse Love's 287 laps led without a win is a cautionary tale — Love has the fastest car nearly every week but can't close. For fantasy, he generates laps-led bonuses reliably but the P1 upside hasn't materialized. He's a high-floor, moderate-ceiling play.
- Sheldon Creed's consistency is being overlooked — P3 at Vegas, P1 at Atlanta, P4 at Phoenix. Creed is quietly assembling one of the best early-season resumes in the series without the hype of Love or Allgaier.
